My name is Alexis Santay and I am a 29-year-old transgender man from Slovakia. I work in several artistic disciplines, from painting, and graphics design to drag. 

My medium is mostly acrylics but I am also creating collages and I like combining digital art with traditional art/ photography and objects from real life, like clothes that I used to wear or my drag costumes.

I was a part of Young queer art exibition during Pride week in Košice in 2022. I was also part of a group exhibition called Sirotinec - Coexistence in 2023. I was featured in AltPride Bratislava queer zine.

I create pieces that explore feelings of isolation within society, loneliness, and losing oneself in order to survive in a transphobic world. I want people to use my art as their way to cope with the world. I want them to feel all their emotions whether that's mourning, rage, or joy. Transgender people were historically always removed and excluded from society and art. Now when these attempts to erase us still persist I want to create as much as I can so we will be seen and heard.
